TELC Polish Language Exam B1–B2

The TELC Polish language certificate at level B1 or B2 may be used when applying for EU long-term resident status in Poland and for admission to Polish universities that require proof of Polish language proficiency.

The dual-level TELC exam awards either a B1 or B2 certificate, depending on the candidate’s performance.

Smart Vision School is an officially licensed TELC Examination Centre in Warsaw.

If the payment is made or received after the registration deadline, we cannot guarantee a place in the selected exam session.

Exam fee refund policy

• Up to 18 working days before the exam date – 100% of the paid examination fee will be refunded.

• Less than 18 working days before the exam date – the examination fee is non-refundable in accordance with the Smart Vision School Examination Services Regulations.

• The examination fee cannot be transferred to another exam date or to another candidate.

How to Register:

1. Complete the online registration form.

2. Check your e-mail for payment instructions.

3. Make the payment within 3 days of receiving the e-mail, but no later than the registration deadline for your selected exam session if it falls earlier.

4. Once the full payment has been received, you will receive an e-mail confirming your place on the candidate list.

Submitting the registration form alone does not guarantee a place on the exam.

Your place is reserved only after the full payment has been received.

TELC Certificate:

The TELC Polish B1/B2 exam uses a dual-level assessment system.

After all parts of the exam have been assessed, TELC determines whether the candidate has achieved the B1 or B2 level and issues the corresponding certificate.

To obtain a B2 certificate, the candidate must meet the official TELC assessment criteria for level B2.

Exam results are usually available within approximately 6–8 weeks.

The TELC certificate is issued in digital format (PDF).

About the Exam:

Before the exam:

• Arrive at least 15 minutes early

• Latecomers will not be admitted

• Bring a valid photo ID (e.g., passport) – mandatory

Exam structure:

✅ Listening comprehension (25 min)
Understanding recorded messages, conversations, interviews, and opinions. Format: multiple choice / true or false.

✅ Reading comprehension (40 min)
Analysis of emails, forum posts, official announcements. Format: multiple choice / true or false.

✅ Language elements (20 min)
Testing your ability to choose the right expressions in dialogues and emails. Format: multiple choice.

✅ Writing (30 min)
Write a semi-formal email based on one of two topics.

✅ Speaking (20 min prep + 16 min exam)
Includes personal experiences, topic presentation, discussion, and examiner questions. Conducted in pairs.
